Inspection, Maintenance and Adjustment
4-54

Park the machine on a level surface, apply the parking
brake, lower the attachment to the ground, and shut down
engine.

Open the drain valve (Figure 84) on the bottom of the fuel
tank.

Drain the remaining fuel into a suitable container.

NOTE:

Dispose of drained fluids according to local
regulations.

Remove bolts, inspection cover and gasket (Figure 85)
from fuel tank.

Clean inside of the tank and suction stainer.

Install the inspection cover with a new gasket. Tighten the
bolts. Do not overtighten.

Close drain valve.

Fill fuel tank.

Check for any leaks at cover and plug.
