Service Checks

Replace Hydraulic System Brake and Pilot

Filter

Replace filter in pilot filter. Perform the following steps:

Vent hydraulic oil tank.

Unscrew element cover (5, Figure 64). Cover is filled with
oil. Dispose of oil.

Remove O-ring (3, Figure 64) and filter (4).

Use a nonflammable, nontoxic solvent to clean out cover
(5, Figure 64).

Insert a new filter (4, Figure 64) into cover (5). Install a new
O-ring (3).

Screw cover (5, Figure 64) onto filter head (1).
