If the display “collective alarm” appears, the container MUST NOT be used. If this alert occurs
during a transport, there may be a malfunction of the container and it must be placed in a
temperature-controlled room with the set transport temperature immediately. Otherwise, the goods
may be lost.
3.4. Preconditioning
The preconditioning of the container to the desired temperature must be performed well in advance
of the loading of the temperature sensitive cargo
3.4.1. Preconditioning of the Container in a Temperature Controlled
Room
The room must have the temperature that is required for the transport. Optimal is the set
tempe/- 0.5° C

Connect the container to a power supply.
2.
Switch the container on.
3.
Start the temperature program.
4.
Open the doors.
5.
Once the requested internal temperature is reached, close the doors.
6.
Check the temperature after 1 hour. The internal temperature must remain constant at the
set temperature for at least 1 hour. If this requirement is fulfilled, the container is properly
pre-conditioned.
3.4.2.
Preconditioning of the Container in a Non-Temperature
Controlled Room
1.
Connect the container to a power supply.
2.
Switch the container on.
3.
Start the required temperature program.
4.
Make sure that the doors are closed.
5.
Once the requested internal temperature is reached, condition the container for 1 more hour
minimum.
6.
Control the temperature after 1 hour. The internal temperature must remain constant at the
set temperature for at least 1 hour. If this requirement is fulfilled, the container is properly
preconditioned.
The container must be preconditioned as exact as possible. Deviations shorten the container
operating time. The container is not able to cool down or heat up the cargo.
