Preparation for Installation
STEP 1 Setup preparation
Prepare the FOMA terminal and the FOMA USB Cable with Charge Function 02 (sold separately).
STEP 2 Confirming the content of subscription
Confirm the content of subscription to the billing plans, discount service and Internet service provider.
STEP 3 Changing the settings
If the connection software other than DOCOMO Connection Manager is installed, change the setting
as necessary not to activate automatically.
Refer to “Using the connection software other than DOCOMO Connection Manager” on P. 11.
STEP 4 Acquiring DOCOMO Connection Manager
Download and install DOCOMO Connection Manager from the DOCOMO website.
Setting Internet Explorer
Before installing this software, set the connection setting to [

Internet Explorer.

Activate Internet Explorer and click [

Logon with a user which uses DOCOMO Connection Manager.

When installing DOCOMO Connection Manager, the PC user must have administrator rights. An error
may occur when other users attempt to uninstall this software.
For Windows 7 and Windows Vista
:
Administrator account is required. If PC is logged on with other than manager account, a screen to enter
the user name and password of the administrator appears during install.
For Windows XP
:
Logon with a user which belongs to the Administrators Group or a user of “Computer administrator”.

End all activating applications.

When installing DOCOMO Connection Manager, resident programs on Windows including anti-virus
software are also ended.
Example: Right-click the icon displayed in the task bar and select [
閉じる
] (Close) or [
終了
] (Exit).
Before installing DOCOMO Connection Manager
Using the connection software other than DOCOMO Connection Manager
This software has built-in functions equal to the following software. The following software is not required to be used
simultaneously.
Change the setting not to activate or uninstall them as necessary.
