Heart Rate Control (HRC) Programs
The EMX-800 features a Bluetooth® Smart wireless heart rate receiver. To perform the HRC
programs you need to wear a compatible wireless heart rate chest strap (sold separately).
After selecting the desired user profile, press MODE key or +/- keys to choose an HRC
program and then, press ENTER to confirm your selection.
Heart Rate Control mode lets you train at different levels of optimum intensity. There are 4
programs to choose from: 55%, 75%, 90% and target (TAG) (Fig. 13-16). Choose a program
pr/- keys and confirm with the ENTER button.
55% - diet effect program
75% - health effect program
90% - exercise effect program
TAG - target heart rate program
The heart rate percentages are based on the maximum level for the input age of the selected
user profile, and TAG lets you set your own pulse target from 30~240 bpm. Once the program
is selected, set your exercise target (TIME/DISTANCE/CALORIES for 55%, 75% and 90%
and PULSE/TIME/DISTANCE/CALORIES for TAG program) using the +/- keys or v/ʌ keys
and the ENTER button to confirm. Next, press START to begin your workout. Once you start
the workout, the machine will automatically adjust the resistance to maintain your heart rate at
the specified target rate.
