RS-232 Control
It is possible to schedule and control devices that accept command via RS-232 serial
ports. For example, SignStick2 can support a USB-to-RS232 adapter and it will accept
commands sent to it on port 4998. Of course, you will want to ensure the IP address
is static.
A classic terminal server commonly uses port 23 to telnet and you can schedule
devices this way.
