WHAT AND HOW TO CHECK
REMEDIAL ACTION

Check the pressure gauge.

No action is required if the valve is correct.
(2)
Touch the spindle motor with a bare hand to check
the temperature.
(2)
If it is too hot to touch, it is possible that cooling
water is not being.
(3)
Measure voltage at SPI terminal of PB6 (EAUA--
087703) with tester (synchroscope) to check if it is
0V or 5V.
(3)
If it is 0V, connections or pressure gauge is
defective. If it is approx 5V, replace the PB6 P.C.
board.

Take out F1 fuse from the holder and check it with a
tester.

If it does not conduct, replace the fuse.
Additionally, check why it has blown. If it conducts
check other parts.
(2)
Measure the voltage at the check terminal of the
power supply board (EAUH--024500) with a tester
(synchroscope) to check if it is +5V
±
0.25V.

If it is +5
±
0.25V, check others. If it is not, replace
the defective power supply P.C. board (Additionally
check the connector and connecting cable.)
(3)
Check the cable connecting panel board and PB6
(EAUA--087703).
(3)
Correct it if it is wrongly connected. Replace it if it
is open circuited.

Check the operation after replacing PB1 (EAUA--
087600) with a spare P.C. board.

If there is no change, check other parts. If it correctly
operates, the board is defective.
(2)
Check if P-ROM of PB1 (EAUA--087600) is
correctly connected.

If P-ROM is poorly connected, re-connect it.
(3)
If it is correctly connected, check the operation after
replacing the board with a spare P.C. board.

Check if the buzzer sounds when
or

is switched ON.

If it sounds, check other parts. If it does not sound,
replace the switch P.C. board (Refer to 2-1).
(2)
Check the operation after replacing PB8 (EAUA--
087900) with a spare P.C. board.
(2)
If there is no change, check other parts. If it operates
correctly, the board is defective.(Refer to Section 6
when checking the signal).
(3)
Check how it operates after replacing PB12
(EAUA--023600) with spare P.C. board.
(3)
If there is no change, check other parts. If it operates
correctly, the board is defective. (Refer to Section 7
when checking with synchroscope).
(4)
Check that the connection between MJ4 and Motor
is normal.
(4)
If not, repair it.

(1)
Measure the voltage at IC25-7 of PB6 (EAUA--
023400) by using a tester (synchroscope) to check if
it momentarily reads 0V in the vicinity of the origin.

Replace the P.C. board if it indicates 0 moment-
tarily.
If it remains 5V, check other parts.
