Directional control system
The rudder is controlled by cables attached to the rudder pedals and guided along the fuselage
center to the rudder. The rudder pedals are attached to the cockpit floor. There are toe brake pedals on both
the pilot and copilot side to operate the main wheel brakes. The cables are connected to the hinges in the
lower part of the rudder spar. The cables are pre-stressed by means of nose wheel control rods. The rudder
control is connected to the nose wheel landing gear to control the nose wheel by the adjustable rods. Rudder
stops are located on the front part of the firewall bulkhead by “T” weldment on the nose wheel leg.
