3.5.2.2.
Assembly of main wheel pants
•
Tools needed: Metric Allen Wrenches
•
Parts needed: Bolts, washers, spacing tubes and locking wire
•
Type of maintenance: Line
•
Level of Certification needed: - Aircraft owner (only for ELSA)
- Sport pilot or higher
•
Instructions:
When assembling the main landing gear wheel pant, proceed as follows:
1. Set the wheel pant to position and bolt it with 4 bolts to the bracket.
2. From outside insert the bolt with washer into the hole in the wheel pant. From inner side
of the wheel pant, shift the spacing tube on the bolt and screw the bolt into nut hole in the
wheel center. Secure the bolt head with locking wire in order to prevent from its turning.

Task proper accomplishment check:
-
Visually check that all inside bolts are inserted and secured properly.

Visually check if the outside bolt is secured by the locking wire.

Disassembly of nose wheel pant

Tools needed: Screwdriver, Metric Allen Wrench
•
Parts needed: None
•
Type of maintenance: Line
•
Level of Certification needed: - Aircraft owner (only for ELSA)
- Sport pilot or higher
•
Instructions:
Nose wheel pant is assembled with 2 bolts in a bracket to the nose leg, 22 bolts in its side cover and
2 bolts fixed in the center of the front wheel axle.
