3.3 Installing Serial Cables and Devices on the DECserver 700-16
The DECserver 700-16 can be configured by the software to support one of the two
sets of signals. One set consists of:
•
Clear to send (CTS) — This is the default setting.
•
Request to send (RTS) — This is the default setting.
•
Data set ready (DSR) — This is the default setting.
•
Data terminal ready (DTR) — This is the default setting.
The second set consists of:
•
Ring indicator (RI)
•
Data signal rate selector (DSRS)
•
Data carrier detect (DCD)
