Removal

To remove a failed or damaged RZxx disk, use the next
procedure.

Step

Action

Refer to Figure

Shutdown the system.

–

Power down the unit.

–

Remove the top cover.

–

Remove the right side panel.

–

Disconnect the power/SCSI interface
cables.

and

Figure 8–11

Press the release tab.

Slide the RZxx drive up and lift it
out of the system.

Record the SCSI ID setting, for use
on the replacement drive.
