Storage Devices

Set all jumpers and switches on the new device to match the
removed device.

Install the new device.

At the console prompt, enter SHOW DEVICE to verify the
replacement.

Run the disk verifier diagnostic (Chapter 14).

Adding SCSI
Drives

When you add a SCSI drive, you must configure the device.

Configure the new drive as follows:

At the console prompt, enter SHOW DEVICE for existing
device information.

Return

Set the SCSI address. See Table 7–3 for the SCSI jumper
settings for particular devices.

Mount the device (Chapter 8).

Figure 7–4 for the factory-default SCSI ID settings.

At the console prompt, enter SHOW DEVICE to verify that
the replacement was correct.

Run the disk verifier diagnostic (Chapter 14).
