Starting The ChannelWorks Bridge

Introduction

This chapter covers the following topics:

•

Verifying start up

•

Locating the Cable TV and Ethernet Network Connections

•

Attaching the ChannelWorks Bridge to your cable TV network

•

Attaching the ChannelWorks Bridge to your Ethernet network

•

Powering up the ChannelWorks Bridge

•

Verifying the ChannelWorks Bridge is operational

Verifying Start Up

Leave the PC attached while you start up the unit. Turn the ChannelWorks Bridge
power switch off.

Verify the following:

•

Cable TV network is ready; transmit (TX) and receive (RX) frequencies have been
assigned.

•

Physical placement (desk, rack or wall-mounting) of the unit is complete.

•

Air flow is not blocked (clearance to front and rear surfaces).

•

The unit is turned off.

•

PC may be attached to console port.

•

Installation parameters have been completed, according to guidelines in Chapter 3.
