SM  ( Sle e p M ode )  Com m a nd

 

 

< Sleep Mode ( Low  Power ) >  SM Com m and is 

used t o adj ust  Sleep Mode set t ings. By  default , 

Sleep Mode is disabled and t he m odem  r em ains 

cont inually  act ive. SM Com m and allow s t he 

m odem  t o r un in a low er - power  st at e and be 

configured in one of eight  set t ings. 

Cy clic Sleep set t ings w ak e t he m odem  after t he 

am ount  of t im e designated by  SM Com m and. I f 

t he m odem  det ect s a w ak e- up init ializer  dur ing 

t he t im e it  is aw ak e, it  w ill sy nchr onize w it h t he 

t r ansm it ter  and star t  receiv ing dat a aft er  t he 

w ak e- up init ializer  r uns it s durat ion. Ot her w ise, it 

ret ur ns to Sleep Mode and cont inue t o cycle in 

and out  of inact iv ity  unt il t he Wak e- up I nit ializer  

is det ect ed. I f a Cy clic Sleep set t ing is chosen, 

t he ST, LH and HT par am et er s m ust also be set  

as descr ibed in t he “ Sleep Mode”  sect ion of t his 

m anual.

set t o 0x 64 ( 100 decim al) , t he m odem  w ill enter  

int o Sleep m ode after  10 seconds of inact iv ity  ( no 

t r ansm it t ing or r eceiv ing) . This com m and can  

only  be used if Cy clic Sleep or Ser ial Por t  Sleep 

Mode set t ings hav e been select ed using SM 

( Sleep Mode)  Com m and.

Binary Command: 0x02 

Parameter Range:  0x10 – 0xFFFF 

(x 100 milliseconds) 

Default Parameter Value: 0x64 (100 decimal) 

Number of bytes returned: 2

ex pir es. I t  can be used to r educe lat ency in a 

quer y / response sequence and should be set  100 

m s longer t han the delay  bet ween tr ansm issions. 

This com m and allows m ult iple XSt ream  Modem s 

t o share a hopping channel for a given am ount  of

Binary Command: 0x17 (23 decimal) 

Parameter Range:  0 – 0xFF 

(x 100 milliseconds) 

Default Parameter Value: 0 (Disabled - channel 
initialization information is sent with each RF 
packet.)

t he sy st em , t he synchronizat ion infor m at ion becom es redundant  once m odem s have becom e 

sy nchronized.
