FCC Ce r t ifica t ion
The XSt ream RF Modem com plies w it h Par t 15 of t he FCC r ules and regulat ions. Com pliance w it h
t he labeling r equirem ent s, FCC not ices and ant enna usage guidelines is required.
To fulfill t he FCC Cer t ificat ion requirem ent s, t he OEM m ust com ply w it h t he following FCC
r egulat ions:

The syst em int egr at or m ust ensure that t he tex t on t he ex t er nal label pr ov ided w it h t his
dev ice is placed on t he out side of t he final product ( Figur e A- 01 for 900 MHz oper at ions or
Figur e A- 02 for 2.4 GHz oper at ions) .

The XStream RF Modem m ay be used only w it h Approved Ant ennas that hav e been t est ed
w it h t his m odem . ( Table A- 01 or Table A- 02)
FCC N ot ice s
IMPORTANT: The 9XStream (900 MHz) and 24XStream (2.4 GHz) RF Modems have been certified by
the FCC for use with other products without any further certification (as per FCC section 2.1091).
Changes or modifications not expressly approved by Digi could void the user’s authority to operate
the equipment.
IMPORTANT: OEMs must test their final product to comply with unintentional radiators (FCC section
15.107
and 15.109) before declaring compliance of their final product to Part 15 of the FCC Rules.
IMPORTANT: The XStream RF Modems have been certified for remote and base radio applications. If
the XStream will be used for portable applications, the device must undergo SAR testing.

pur suant t o Par t 15 of t he FCC Rules. These lim it s ar e designed t o prov ide reasonable protect ion
against har m ful int er ference in a resident ial inst allat ion. This equipm ent gener at es, uses and can

m ay cause harm ful int er ference t o r adio com m unicat ions. Howev er , t her e is no guar ant ee t hat
int er ference w ill not occur in a par t icular inst allat ion. I f t his equipm ent does cause harm ful
int er ference t o r adio or t elev ision r ecept ion, w hich can be det er m ined by t ur ning t he equipm ent
