init ial sy nchr onizat ion. For ex am ple, changing t he SY Par am et er to 0x14 ( 20 decim al) allows all
m odem s t o r em ain in sy nc for 2 seconds aft er t he last dat a packet w as received. Sy nchronizat ion
inform at ion is not r e- sent unless tr ansm ission st ops for m or e t han 2 seconds. This com m and
allow s significant sav ings in pack et transm ission t im e.
Warning:
Not recommended for use in an interference-prone environment. Interference can
break up the session and the communications channel will not be available again
until SY time expires.
Wit h SY set to zero, t he channel session is opened and closed w it h each t ransm ission - r esult ing
in a m or e robust link w it h m ore lat ency .
