one of t hr ee lay ers of addr essing av ailable t o t he
XSt r eam m odem . I n order for m odem s t o
com m unicat e w it h each ot her , t he m odem s m ust
hav e t he sam e channel num ber since each
net w ork uses a differ ent hopping sequence.
