XLR PRO operational design

XLR PRO Radio Frequency (RF) Modem User Guide

27

Although there are three different interfaces to update the XLR PRO firmware, the process is the same:

1. The software loads the firmware image to the XLR PRO, validating each block as it loads into non-volatile memory.

2. The entire image is validated in non-volatile memory.

 XLR PRO resets, places the firmware image into the application area and validates it. This process takes 
approximately 45 seconds after the reset.

Note

XLR PRO firmware is region-specific, and the second digit of the four-digit firmware version number indicates 
the intended region:
0 — North America (for example, version 1007)
2 — International (for example, version 1207)
You can only load a firmware version that matches the region in which the hardware was purchased.
