05 INDIVIDUAL SETTINGS

5.2 Drum brake (optional)

In order to achieve an optimal braking effect, the
braking force is adjusted on the adjusting screw
on the brake cable. The braking force is increased
by loosening the adjusting screw. Loosen the lock
nut and unscrew the adjusting screw until you
hear grinding noises from the turning wheel.
Then screw in the adjusting screw until the grin-

ding noises stop. Once you have finished adjus

-

ting the settings, the adjusting screw is fixed by

tightening the lock nut.

WARNING

Ensure that the drum brakes on
both sides of the wheelchair are
adjusted evenly.
