04 USING THE WHEELCHAIR

4.7  Park brake

The park brake enables the user to park the 
wheelchair securely.

Actuate the locking brake (tyre brake) when 
stationary. To do this, push the lever forwards 
until it stops independently. The wheelchair is 
now standing securely; you can now transfer 
or simply park. The locking brake is released by 
pulling the lever backwards.

NOTE

Always apply both brakes together 
to avoid any movement of the 
wheelchair. 

While moving always slow down the wheel-
chair by using the push rims. The park brakes 
are only used for parking and can not control 
the wheelchair at speed.
