Securing the wheelchair restraint system

The only alternative to using a power knot sys-
tem is to secure  the CANEO with an
ISO

10542-certified 4-point wheelchair re-

straint system with tie down straps capable of
holding the wheelchair’s total weight. The 4
tie down strap attachment points on the
wheelchair are marked with a hook symbol
(see examples (A) and (B))

.

 When securing the

CANEO, the straps must be attached to all 4
attachment points and the wheelchair placed
such that the occupant is facing the direction
of travel in compliance with ISO

10542

(WTORS).   The wheelchair must never be se-
cured using any attachment points other than
those specified (e.g. anti-tipper, armrests). Do
not modify the transport strap attachment
points on the wheelchair without DIETZ’s con-
sent.

The wheelchair restraint system must be fitted
inside the vehicle as described in the restraint
manufacturer’s installation manual.

Additional the CANEO_E  has been tested
with a power knot system manufactured by
AMF-Bruns (DIN 75078-2 / ISO 10542). Please
follow the manufacturer’s installation instruc-
tions (www.amf-bruns-behindertenfahrzeuge.
de) when securing the restraint system with a
power knot system. The restraint system must
be fitted by qualified and expert personnel.

WARNING

The CANEO  has been tested in
the direction of travel in
compliance with ISO 7176-19 /
ISO 10542. For safety reasons,
the CANEO  must not be used /
secured in such a way that it
would face backwards or
sideways when

occupied
