SERIAL COMMANDS
Connect the auxiliary serial communication port (COM AUX) of the data logger to the PC. The
data logger can be connected to a USB port of the PC through the optional CP24 cable, to be
connected to the M12 COM AUX connector available at the bottom of the housing.
Start a serial communication program and set the program with the following parameters:
115200 b/s, 8N2.

ASSWORD
The configuration of the instrument is protected by a password. To change the parameters of the
logger it is necessary to send the PASSWORD command followed by the value of the password:
PASSWORD Password
If the password is accepted, the data logger responds with: PASSWORD-USER ENABLED mode |.
If the password is incorrect, the data logger responds with: PASSWORD GUEST mode |, in which
case you can read some information about the data logger but not modify the configuration.
The password consists of 8 characters (allowable characters: 0...9 a...z A...Z : ; < = > ? @).
The factory-set password is 00000000. To change the password, send the command:
PASSWORD Password NewPassword NewPassword
The instrument disables the password after 5 minutes from the last command sent. You can
immediately disable the password by sending the command PASSWORD followed by an incor-
rect password.
In the tables of serial commands described in the following paragraphs, the symbol "•" in the
column P (Password) identifies the commands that require passwords to be performed.

Prints the serial number, the user code, the firmware version and
date of the data logger.
IDENTIFIER
Prints the user code of the data logger.
IDENTIFIER NewCode
Sets the user code of the data logger. The maximum length of the
user code is 16 characters.

UTCOFFSET
Prints the time zone, in hours and minutes, set in the data logger with
respect to the UTC time.
UTCOFFSET nn
Sets the time zone relative to UTC. The parameter nn is between -48
and +52 and represents the number of quarters of an hour differ-
ence between local time and UTC time.
DATE
Prints the date and the UTC time of the logger (and the battery voltage).
DATE yy mm dd hh mm ss Sets the date and the UTC time of the logger.
CLOCKREFURL
Prints the address of the web server used for automatic update of
date and time.
CLOCKREFURL c...c
Sets the string c...c as the address of the web server to be used for
the automatic update of date and time.
For example, you can set c...c = www.google.com.
For the update is used an http connection and the web server must
respond to port 80 in a standard way.
TESTCLOCKSYNC
Synchronize the date and time of the data logger with the date and
time of the web server set.
