Prerequisites
1 Remove the optical drive .
2 Remove the base cover .
3 Remove the battery .
4 Remove the optical-drive connector board .
5 Remove the fan .
6 Remove the heat sink .
7 Remove the solid-state drive/Intel Optane .
8 Remove the wireless card .
9 Remove the speakers .
10 Remove the hard drive .
11 Remove the touchpad .
12 Remove the power-adapter port .
13 Remove the display assembly .
14 Remove the I/O board .
15 Remove the power-button board .
16 Remove the system board .
17 Remove the power button with fingerprint reader (optional).
Procedure
After performing the above steps, we are left with the palm rest and keyboard assembly.
