System Board

Figure 4-19.  System Board Removal

To remove the system board, follow these steps:

1. Remove the system board assembly.

2. Lay the system board assembly on a flat worksurface.

3. Remove the system-board mounting screw.

4. Slide the system board toward the front of the computer to disengage 

the system-board mounting clips.

5. Lift the system board out of the system-board mounting bracket.

If you are replacing the system board, remove the DIMMs and the micro-
processor from the old system board and install them on the replacement board.
