Error Code Cause Corrective Action
0040 You need to activate the ‘data set
ready’ line. You can only recover from this error at the
5294 Control Unit.
0042 The receive clock signal failed during a
receive operation. You can only recover from this error at the
5294 Control Unit.
0044 No valid data was received after 30-
sec. Communications time-out. You can only recover from this error at the
5294 Control Unit.
0050 1. ‘Clear to send’ line was inactive
when ‘request to send’ was active,
or
2. ‘Clear to send’ line was active when
‘request to send’ line was inactive.
You can only recover from this error at the
5294 Control Unit.
0051 The transmit clock signal failed during
a transmit operation. You can only recover from this error at the
5294 Control Unit.
0052 The 5294 Control Unit detected an
internal error. You can only recover from this error at the
5294 Control Unit.
0054 The system sent an invalid command
to the 5294 Control Unit. You can only recover from this error at the
5294 Control Unit.
0097 An attempt was made to run on-line
verification tests which the host
program does not support. Key Reset . You can use the workstation
but don’t perform verification tests.
0099 The key function you pressed is not
presently valid due to an error which
occurred before sign-on. Key Reset . Perform correct sign-on
procedure. Keying SysRq will start sign-
on for most systems.
An error occurred during sign-on.
Key Reset . perform correct sign-on
procedure. Consult system operator to
verify system is functioning if problem
persists.
