Error Code Cause Corrective Action
0010 You attempted to enter data into a field
which accepts only the assigned
numeric characters 0-9. Key Reset . Enter valid characters 0-9
only.
0011 You tried to enter data into the last
location of a signed numeric field. Key Reset . Verify that the data is correct
and key Field- , Field+ or Field exit to
leave the field.
0012 There is no space left in the field or the
cursor is in the field’s last position. Do
not use
Ins to alter data or to enter the
field’s last character.
Key Reset . Continue after correcting the
field, if needed.
0013 You tried to exit from a field after
keying
Ins .

0014 A key function was pressed that moves
the cursor from a mandatory-fill field
without filling it completely or leaving it
blank.
Key Reset . Fill the entire field with data or
move the cursor to the beginning of the
field and blank it out by keying
Field- ,
Field+ or Field exit.
0015 The number and check digit entered in
a self-check field don’t match. Key Reset . Verify that the number and
check digit were correctly entered. If so,
verify that the number is valid for a self-
check field. Consult with your system
operator if error occurs after checking the
above.

Field- was keyed, but you were not in a
signed numeric field (or in some
systems, a numeric-only field).
Key Reset . Continue entering data or key
Field exit to blank out the entire field.
0017 Keying Field- , Field+ or Field exit was
keyed before a mandatory-fill field was
completely filled. You can also exit
from the first position of the field.
Key Reset . Fill in data till the end of the
field or position the cursor at the start of
the field and key
Field- , Field+ or Field
exit to blank out the field.
0018 You can also use a non-data key such
as
Field exit or cursor-move key to exit
from this field.
Key Reset . Use non-data key to leave this
field.
