Running Diagnostic Tests
Diagnostic
Tests If an error message is displayed next to a device name when you
issue one of the
show commands described in Chapter 13, you
can test the device listed in the error message by using the test
command.
Using this command, you can run a number of diagnostic tests to
help you determine the status of a system module or device.
List of Device
Tests Table 14–2 provides a list of the available diagnostic tests
and indicates whether the tests require a loopback connector.
The tests are listed by the name of the device they test. Refer
to Figure 3–2 to see how to connect the Ethernet loopback
connector.
