What You
Should Have
Done Already

Before you start up your workstation or server system, you
should have already completed the following tasks:

•

The installation tasks described in Chapter 3 or Chapter 4.

•

The network connection steps described in Chapter 5 if your
system is to be networked.

If you have not performed these tasks, do so now.

What You
Should Know
Beforehand

The tasks in this chapter require some experience with computer
tasks such as turning on the power switch, entering console
commands, and responding to questions that appear on-screen
during the factory-installed software procedures.

Factory-Installed
Software

Preconfigured workstation and server systems with an internal
fixed disk drive include a factory-installed operating system.
