Startup Problems

Startup Problems

Overview

There are many different causes of system startup problems.
Locate the problem you are having in the following sections.

Power Indicator
Light Off

If the power indicator light does not come on when you turn on
your system, see Table 13–4. The indicator light

is shown in

Figure 13–1.

If the fan failure lights

comes on, you will need to contact your

Digital Services representative, as described in Chapter 14.

Possible Cause

Corrective Action

Power cord is not connected.

Check the power cord connections at
both ends.

Wall socket is inoperative.

Try a different wall socket, or try an
electrical device that you know works
in the wall socket.

Defective power supply.

Contact your Digital service
representative.
