4.2.3 User Interface Log-in
Before the switch menu system can be accessed the user has to log into the switch.
The switch will NOT display a menu at startup of the serial port. Press the enter key
after the switch is turned on to start the login dialog.
The default user name and password is shown in bold in Figure 7. The user name
and password can be changed from the “Flash access” menu. The switch has TWO
user IDs: the default user name and password is the same for both user IDs.
The same user interface/menu system is available through the serial port OR the
Ethernet port, but not at the same time. If a user switches from one management port
to the other port, the user must select the Session Logout BEFORE switching to the
other port. Otherwise, the switch will hold the original session active and not respond
on the other port. If this situation occurs, the user can go back to the port whose
session is still open and logout OR the front panel reset button can be pushed OR
the power to the switch can be cycled. The last two choices will interrupt FC data flow
through the switch.

4.2.4 Main Menu
The Main Menu is the first menu that is displayed after a user logs into the switch.
The Main Menu is the “top” of the menu tree. It can always be reached from wherever
a user is in the menu tree by entering the “q” (Quit) and “Enter” keys repeatedly until
the Main Menu appears.
