½ stick cold, unsalted butter, cut into ½“ cubes
¼ cup firmly packed brown sugar
cup granulated sugar
¼ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
1 large egg, split
½ tsp vanilla extract
1.
In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment or with a hand mixer, beat
the butter with the sugars, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until there are pea-sized
lumps of butter incorporated throughout the sugar.
2.
Add the egg and vanilla and beat on low speed until just combined; small lumps of
butter should remain.
3.
Add the flour, chocolate and walnuts all at once, and beat on increasing speed until flour
is incorporated. Make ½ dozen tbsp-sized dough balls at a time and place them on the
parchment paper-lined Baking Pan.
4.
Place the Baking Pan on the Oven Rack in your Air Fryer Oven at Position 2. Set your
function to Bake and your temperature to 350°F. Set your time to 10 minutes to start.
5.
Bake until the edges are lightly browned. Add more time if needed.
