4.5.1 Internal mixing box XKS
You will find the following 4 dampers installed in a XKS section:
1. Exhaust air damper
2. Recirculation
damper
3. Outdoor air damper
4. By-pass
damper
Before commissioning the unit make sure that the dampers are opening/closing in the right
direction:
Set the controls to night time (no outdoor air) and make sure that there is a temperature
difference between the swimming pool hall temperature set point and the outside air
temperature of at least of 10°C, so that the unit runs in heat recovery mode. Now the
dampers should be in the positions shown to the left in the picture below.

Now change the program to daytime and see if damper 1 and 3 are starting to open and if
damper 2 is starting to close. Now set the outdoor air to 100%, wait a few minutes and check
if the dampers are in the position shown in the middle picture.
If the unit is running in free cooling mode with the by pass damper (4) open, the dampers will
be in a position as shown in the right picture above.
