12 FTP
The Lyra also contains a FTP server (File Transfer Protocol) which may be used to transfer files from
and to your PC. The information you can exchange is stored in three directories:
Presets, Security, Flash. Depending on your rights given in the security section of the web-pages, you
are able to browse and download/upload files.
To do so, you can use a standard FTP-Client or even an Internet-explorer, be aware you can only open
ONE connection to the FTP server at the same time (this causes an Internet-explorer sometime times
to generate 'not found' messages because an Internet-explorer tries to use more connections at the
same time).
12.1 Presets
The Preset directory contains the file 'Current Preset.Lyra' this file contains all information of the Lyra
(except security and level settings). If you would get a snapshot of the Lyra's current situation (EQ,
routing, remotes etc...) you can store this file on your FTP-client.
If that file is restored, the Lyra will immediately jump to the settings in the file which is uploaded.
12.2 Security
The Security directory contains two files: 'Users.Lyra' and 'Levels.Lyra'.
The file 'Users.Lyra' stores all information like: Username, Password and security level.
So if you want to transfer the list of Users to different Lyra systems you can use the file 'Users.Lyra'
The file 'Levels.Lyra' contains the information regarding the user levels. This file can be uploaded to
different Lyra systems to get the same security level settings.
12.3 Flash
The Flash Directory holds several Firmware files. Those files are used for the internal software to run.
If you need to update those files you must carefully follow the instructions supplied by the support
engineer.
DON'T ACCESS THIS DIRECTORY WITHOUT INSTRUCTIONS OF A SUPPORT ENGINEER.
