This setting allows reducing the number of events triggered by the repeated motion of the
same object.
Example:
0
Every object is a new event
Very large number of events
Sensitivity
This function checks the extent to which an old (still valid) object and a new object overlap.
If the non-overlapping area is larger than an (internally) set value, the new object will be
assessed as a new event.
This function therefore represents a refinement of the mechanism set by the fade out time.
very sensitive
Event even if non-overlapping area is small
Lots of events
…
least sensitive
Event only if non-overlapping area is very large
Few events

Active Areas
The motion detection function is active in the entire image area by default.
In order to ignore motion events in certain areas, inactive areas can be defined.
The defined motion detection areas are always valid for the complete pan/tilt range of the
PTZ dome camera. So we recommend using the motion detection function only if the PTZ
dome camera is used as a static dome camera.
The current video image is only displayed in the dialogue if “Encoder mode > MJPEG” is
set or “Encoder 2” is active (see section “
Encoder Settings
” on page 61).
