The 

wlan domain member passive 

Global Configuration mode command configures communication to other 

devices in the WLAN domain as a passive. To set the member as a non passive, use the 

no

 form of the command.

Syntax

wlan domain member ip-address passive

no wlan domain member ip-address passive

Parameters
•

ip-address — 

Specify the IP address of the device that should be passive.

Default Configuration

This command has no default configuration.

Command Mode

Global Configuration mode

User Guidelines

If device X has a device Y marked "passive", then device X will never (actively) initiate a connection to Y. Instead, 
X will wait (passively) for Y to connect to X.

This feature is intended eventually to support devices that might be behind firewalls.

Example

The following example configures communication to a device with the IP address 192.168.1.4, in the WLAN 
domain as a passive.
