Purpose

Used to configure a identifier for the SNMP engine on the switch.

Format

config snmp engineID <snmp_engineID 10-64>

Description

The

config snmp engineID

command configures a identifier for the SNMP engine on the switch.

Associated with each SNMP entity is a unique engineID.

Parameters

Description

snmp_engineID

Identify for the SNMP engine on the switch. It is an octet string type.

You must have administrator privileges.
