Uploading System Files

Page 321 

Uploading System Files

There are two types of files, firmware files and configuration files. The firmware files manage the device, and the 
configuration files configure the device for transmissions. Only one type of upload can be performed at any one 
time.The 

File Upload Page

 contains fields for uploading the software from the device to the TFTP server. To 

upload system files:

Configuration Upload

Each type of file can be uploaded via TFTP whereas only Configuration files can be uploaded via HTTP.

Upload Type

The 

Upload Type

Firmware Upload

 — Specifies that the software image file is uploaded. If 

Firmware Upload

 is selected, the 

Configuration Upload fields are grayed out.

•

Configuration Upload

 — Specifies that the Configuration file is uploaded. If 

Configuration Upload

 is 

selected, the Software Image Upload fields are grayed out.

•

via TFTP 

— Specifies that the file is uploaded using TFTP. 

•

via HTTP 

— Specifies that the file is uploaded using HTTP. This is only applicable for configuration file 

uploads.
