config all_boxes_id 

Purpose 

Used to configure box IDs for switches in a 
stack. 

Syntax 

[static_mode | auto_mode] 

Description 

This command will determine the mode of 
assigning box IDs. 

Parameters 

static_mode – user assigns box IDs 

auto_mode – box Ids are assigned 
automatically 

Restrictions 

Administrator privileges are needed to 
issue this command. 

 

Usage Example: 

 

To configure box type:
