config pppoe circuit_id_insertion ports

Description
This command is used to configure port’s PPPoE Circuit ID insertion function. When the port’s
state and the global state are enabled, the system will insert the Circuit ID TAG to the received
PPPoE discovery initiation and request packet if the TAG is absent, and remove the Circuit ID
TAG from the received PPPoE offer and session confirmation packet.
Format
config pppoe circuit_id_insertion ports <portlist> {state [enable | disable] | circuit_id [mac |
ip | udf <string 32>]}(1)
Parameters
<portlist>
- Enter a list of ports to be configured.
state
- Specify to enable or disable port’s PPPoE circuit ID insertion function. The default setting
is enable.
enable
- Enables port’s PPPoE circuit ID insertion function.
disable
- Disables port’s PPPoE circuit ID insertion function.
circuit_id
- Specify to configure the device ID part for encoding of the circuit ID option.
mac
- The MAC address of the Switch will be used to encode the circuit ID option.
ip
- The Switch’s IP address will be used to encode the circuit ID option. This is the default.
udf
- A user specified string to be used to encode the circuit ID option.
<string 32>
- Enter a string with the maximum length of 32.
Restrictions
Only Administrators, Operators and Power-Users can issue this command.
Example
To enable port 5 PPPoE circuit ID insertion function:
DGS-3000-26TC:admin#config pppoe circuit_id_insertion ports 5 state enable
Command: config pppoe circuit_id_insertion ports 5 state enable
Success.
