PPTP Passthrough

Enable or disable PPTP passthrough on the Residential Gateway.
PPTP stands for
“Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol”. And PPTP passthrough is a feature
which allows the Point-to-Point Protocol to be tunneled through an IP network.
L2TP Passthrough
—
Enable or disable the L2TP passthrough on the Residential
Gateway. L2TP stands for
“Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol”. It is used to enable Point-to-
Point sessions via the Internet on the Layer 2 level.

3.6.5 UPnP
Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) is a distributed, open networking standard that uses TCP/IP for
simple peer-to-peer network connectivity between devices. An UPnP device can dynamically join a
network, obtain an IP address, convey its capabilities and learn about other devices on the
network. In turn, a device can leave a network smoothly and automatically.
Select
UPnP
from the
Security
sub menu bar. Then, this
screen page appears as follows:
Click this drop-down box then click OK button to enable UPnP feature. UPNP provides
compatibility with networking equipment, software and peripherals.
