3.3 Powering up the Impedo Duo
The Impedo Duo does not contain a physical power switch. A start gesture on the
OLED display is required to switch the instrument ON (single finger slide from top to
bottom).
On the first touch (anywhere on the glass panel), the Impedo Duo Power Distribution
Unit (PDU) will scan the battery status. If sufficient power is available, the PDU will
switch on the OLED to display a power switch icon. When touching the power switch
icon, the PDU will animate the gesture required to switch on the instrument.
A small processor icon followed by a check mark icon will display on the OLED after
recognition of a valid start gesture. The check mark symbol indicates successful
booting of the embedded operating system. Next, the main display will show a start-
up animation, which is then replaced by the final user interface once booting
completed. The OLED will show the running information status.
