If the generator is overloaded (in excess of 3000W), or
if there is a short in the connected appliance, the RUN
indicator light (green) will go out, the overload indicator
light (red) will turn on, the values in the digital display will
become zero, and power output will stop.
1. Remove all electrical loads from the generator and
investigate the cause of the overload.
2. To reset the overload condition, shut down and restart
the generator. The green RUN indicator LED will
illuminate and the digital display should be returning data
again within 10 seconds.
! NOTE: Before connecting or reconnecting an appliance
to the generator, check that it is in good order, and that its
electrical rating does not exceed that of the generator.
OVERSPEED PROTECTION
This generator has been designed to prevent the engine
from “overspeed” revving. Overspeed revving occurs when
a generator’s on-board monitoring systems detect a drop
in voltage from the inverter, and the generator attempts to
compensate by revving the engine higher to generate more
electricity. In the rare event of an inverter failure, there
will be no voltage output from the inverter, and the engine
would remain revving at or close to its top speed.
Overspeed revving for a prolonged period can damage or
destroy internal components, so if the engine begins to
overspeed, it is designed to shut down immediately. If you
attempt to restart the generator in this condition, it will
immediately start to overspeed again, and will once again
shut down. If your generator exhibits this behavior, take it to
an authorized service agent.
