Main precaution
Before handling the shore-power unit, please read carefully this
manual.
Precautions regarding electric shocks
Risk of electric shock and danger of death: it’s strictly forbidden
to open the shore-power unit under voltage (except to configure
the charger with the push-button).
Lowering the differential
circuit breaker is not enough, it is imperative to disconnect from
the AC network.
Precautions regarding accidental earth leaks
The charger's Protection Earth Terminal (PE) must be earthed and
connected before any other terminal. (see 3.2.2).
The shore-power unit must be sealed before any power-up: the
cover must be connected to the frame of the shore-power unit by
the cable and the terminal provided for this purpose (exept for
the setting with the push-button see 3.3.1)
Accidental leakage current between the charge circuit and the
earth:
accidental current leakage at the earth must be detected by
means of an independent protective device outside the charger
(a residual current device or an insulation detector).
The installer should decide on the rating and nature of the
protection according to the risks.
