PERATING PRINCIPLE
CRISTEC shore-power unit combines AC protection and distribution, as well as a battery charger in the same box. The
assembly complies with the European standards in force and, thanks to its compact size, optimizes space and assembly
time.
Personal protection consists of a 30mA (16A or 32A-230VAC) bipolar differential circuit breaker depending on the
model.
Equipment protection is performed a 2 poles thermal magnetic circuit breakers. There can be 2 to 6 of them. (They are
of 10A or 16A type depending on the model).
The charger function is made by an electronic circuit board with high frequency switching supply from our
range of chargers which transforms the AC signal into a DC voltage, regulated and filtered. They can
operate as a battery charger and as a DC power supply.
The operation of the shore-power unit is fully automatic, after a selection of the type of battery and the type of
charge. It can remain connected to the batteries (unless otherwise stipulated by the battery supplier or manufacturer)
and does not need to be disconnected when starting the engine (marine application) because because it is equipped
with an integrated separator.
The device has 3 or 4 isolated DC outputs depending on the model and delivers a voltage suitable for charging. The
charger can deliver a maximum of the nominal current distributed over all the outputs used according to the battery
banks connected.
Each output can supply the nominal current.
Unused outputs are not to be connected.
