Locate blade arm screws and lock washers in
hardware pack. Align blade arm holes with holes in
wall of motor plate and attach blade assembly with
blade arm screws and lock washers. [

] Before securing screws permanently, repeat with
remaining blade arms.
Securely tighten all screws.
Remove every other motor screw (on underside of
motor) and partially loosen the remaining 5 screws.
Align slotted holes in motor plate with loosened
screws in motor. Twist motor plate to lock. Re-insert
screws that were previously removed. Tighten all
10 screws to secure motor plate. [

WARNING
: Failure to secure motor plate correctly
may result in fan wobble or serious injury.
Note
: Tighten motor screws twice a year.
8. Blade Assembly. (cont.)
9. Light Kit Assembly.
Remove 1 screw from fitter plate on underside of
motor housing and partially loosen the other 2
screws.
Connect
BLACK
(or
BLUE
) wire from motor housing
to
BLACK
wire from light kit fitter. Connect
WHITE
wire from motor housing to
WHITE
wire from light
kit fitter. Be sure that molex connections snap
together completely.
Carefully arrange wiring within hole in light kit fitter.
Align slotted holes in the light kit fitter with
loosened screws in fitter plate. Twist light kit fitter to
lock. Re-insert screw that was previously removed.
Tighten all 3 screws to secure light kit fitter.
Install one 75 watt max. halogen bulb, type JD E11
(included).
Tip
:
Do not touch glass portion of bulb with fingers or
hands. Oil from skin can cause bulb to overheat and go
out prematurely. Use cardboard box or foam wrapping
bulb was packed with to layer around glass portion of
bulb.
Locate grooves on glass shade and align with
nodules on inside of light kit fitter. Push up gently on
glass shade. Turn glass shade in a
clockwise
direction until it slides into place.
Pull down VERY
GENTLY on glass shade to make sure that glass shade is
secure.
IMPORTANT
:
When you need to replace the bulb,
please allow bulb and glass shade to cool down
before touching, keeping in mind not to touch the
bulb itself as described above (see "
Tip
").
