c) Tilting up/closing the TFT monitor
Tilt up the TFT monitor until it is in an upright position. Do not apply force to avoid damage to
the mechanism.
There are additional control buttons between the TFT monitor and the binoculars to control the
functions of the on-screen menu (OSD).
To close the TFT monitor again, fold it down so that it covers the control buttons.
When the camera is switched on, the TFT monitor is only activated if tilted up. This saves
battery power and increases operating time.
d) TFT monitor display symbols
As with other digital cameras, the TFT
monitor shows the image section, displays
pictures already taken and helps you use
the menu functions.
The following symbols at the top and the
bottom of the screen are shown:
A = Memory card inserted
This symbol is shown when an SD memory card has been inserted into the slot
and recognised.
B = Recording function
Picture mode: Press the release ("SET" button) to take a picture.
Self-timer: Activate it and press the release ("SET" button). After 10 seconds,
a picture is taken.
Video mode: Press the release ("SET" button) to start/stop recording video.
