FUNCTION DESCRIPTION
The function of the control sensor is to protect against water damage, water loss and unwanted water con-
sumption in the drinking water system.
The instantaneous water flow is measured by a water meter turbine, which is then used to determine the
water volume consumed in an uninterrupted period and the time for which water has been drawn. The
maximum permissible limits can be set at the electrical circuit. If one of these limits is exceeded, the control
sensor shut-off valve closes.

COMMISSIONING
/
To do so the installed devices are filled with water by opening the upstream isolation valve.
The devices are now at mains pressure.
/
The captured air must then be immediately removed from the devices, to prevent system damage by
water hammer.
Bleeding is performed as follows:
/
For the combination of the control sensor with a backwashing filter (CLEAR 2.0 R and RD) by back-
washing of the filter and opening of a downstream drain valve (see installation and operating instruc-
tions of the respective filter).
/
For the combination of the control sensor with a cartridge filter (CLEAR 2.0 K and KD) by opening of
the isolation valves (see installation and operating instructions of the respective filter).
After backwashing and bleeding, the control sensor is ready for operation.
/
Plug the power supply unit in.
The electrical circuit of the control sensor performs an LED test, in which the individual LED rows illumi-
nate sequentially. Then the electrical circuit checks the position of the shut-off valve. If the shut-off valve
is open, the motor is switched on for approximately 20 seconds to determine the exact position. The shut-
off valve remains in the opened position.
The power supply unit may only be plugged in once the control sensor is fully in-
stalled and bled. If a control sensor is operated when not installed, there is a risk
of crushing due to rotating parts!
The control sensor and filter must be filled with water and bled before commis-
sioning (first use or commissioning after maintenance).
