Updating Firmware
NOTE:
The user is responsible for performing system firmware upgrades. When updating
firmware, use the firmware CD version 5.4 or higher.
The Compaq Professional Workstation XP1000 system contains flashROM for
the console firmware. The flashROM contains the AlphaBIOS console
firmware (for the Microsoft Windows NT operating system) and the SRM
console firmware (for the Compaq Tru64 UNIX operating system).
This section explains how to use the firmware update utility to install firmware
upgrades. Consult the appropriate operating system-specific section (e.g.,
Microsoft Windows NT or Compaq Tru64 UNIX).
