For instructions on using the Diagnostics Utility and other Compaq utilities,
refer to the Documentation CD.

Prefailure Warranty

The Compaq ProLiant 6400R server includes Prefailure Warranty for
processors, hard drives, and DIMMs purchased from Compaq through a
Compaq authorized reseller. Supported components are eligible for
replacement under this warranty before they actually fail, if the system
determines that these components have degraded below predetermined
reliability thresholds within the product warranty period.

Compaq Insight Manager Alert

The Compaq Insight Manager status indicator is a yellow status indicator on
the Insight Manager control panel that indicates that a component is in a
degraded condition. Insight Manager recommends replacing a component in a
pre-failure condition.

When Compaq Insight Manager alerts that a component may be eligible for
Prefailure Warranty replacement, follow the on-screen instructions or contact a
Compaq Authorized Service Provider in your area.

Loading Compaq Device Drivers

Drivers are located on the Compaq SmartStart and Support Software CD. The
drivers on the Support Software Diskette may be newer versions with new
functionality and upgraded utilities.

IMPORTANT:

 files on SmartStart or any Software Support

Diskettes or CDs. If present, these files may contain information about important software
updates.
