2. OPERATION
• the coleman
®
Rechargeable Quickpump™ needs to be charged for
10 hours before first use. charge only using the 230 v~ or 12 v dc
charger supplied with the pump. the use of other charging units will
invalidate the guarantee.
• after initial use, subsequent recharging time is 8 hours.
• after use, recharge pump within 48 hours.
• always store pump with full charge. to keep the battery at optimum
operating levels, recharge the unit every 3-5 months, even if it has not
been used.
• do Not use the pump coNtINuous. aLLoW the pump to
cooL off for 20 mINutes after everY 10 mINutes of
operatIoN. faILure to do so maY cause damage to the
pump motor aNd batterY.
• the pump can be used with or without a tube. to use the pump without a
tube, just remove the tube and replace it with the adapter nozzle supplied
separately.
3. CHARGING
1) Using 230 V ~ transformer:
• connect the small plug end of transformer into the small socket in the
rear of the pump.
• connect the other end of the transformer to an appropriate electrical
outlet.
• a small green light on the transformer will glow when charger is connected
properly.
2) Using the 12 V
𝌂
transformer:
• If you can not charge your pump with the 230 v ~ transformer, you can
charge it using the 12 V
𝌂
transformer.
• then connect small end of the transformer to small hole on the back end
of the pump.
• connect the other end of the transformer to your car-cigarette lighter.
• a small green light on the transformer will glow when charger is connected
properly.
4. IN CASE OF TROUBLE
In most vehicles, the ignition must be turned on for the lighter to work.
If the ignition is turned on but the pump is not operating, remove the plug
from the socket immediately and make the following checks:
1. twist and push plug receptacle for better contact.
2. check receptacle for foreign objects (tobacco, etc.).
3. connector fuse: the connector of your 12
V power supply cable
is protected by a fuse (2 a). check that the fuse has not blown by
un-screwing the 12 V connector plug

4. check cord and motor electrical connections.

a/ open the valve

b/ pull the external stopper to extend the valve out

c/ attach adapter nozzle of the pump to the airbed valve by twisting it gently.
turn on the pump (position oN) to inflate (C) .
d/ When fully inflated, seal valve by pushing in with pump nozzle.
gently twist adapter sleeve to right, backing the pump out of valve while
maintaining the seal

. turn off (position off) the pump.
e/ close the external stopper. valve should appear depressed into
itself (E) .
6. OTHER vALvES

Rechargeable Quickpump™ is compatible with most valves
on inflatable products. for pinch valves, fit the pointed adapter nozzle and
make sure tip of adapter is extended past inner “flap” inside of valve

.
7. HOW TO DEFLATE
Remove adapter nozzle from inflation end and attach to deflation side
of pump. repeat same steps as inflation. this will draw the air out very
quickly

8. WASTE ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT
this pump is fitted with a non-replaceable rechargeable
battery. this symbol means that this appliance is subject to
separate collection. at the end of their useful life, the coleman ®
rechargeable Quickpump™ and the charger unit must be
disposed of correctly.
the pump must not be disposed of with unsorted municipal
waste. separate collection of such waste favours the reuse, recycling or
other forms of recovery of the recyclable materials contained in the waste.
dispose of the pump at a purpose-built waste recovery centre (collection
centre). contact your local authorities for information.
do not dump, do not incinerate: the presence of certain hazardous
materials in the electrical and electronic equipment may be harmful to the
environment and have potential effects on human health.
9. GUARANTEE
the manufacturer grants a two year guarantee on coleman
®
Rechargeable
Quickpump™, from the date of their purchase. It covers parts and
labor. Within the guarantee period, the manufacturer will eliminate any
defects in the product resulting from faults in material or workmanship
either by repairing, or exchanging parts or replacing the whole product.
this guarantee does not cover damage due to normal wear of parts
or damage resulting from any of the following: negligent use or misuse
of the product, use contrary to the instruction manual, repair, service,
alteration or modification of the product by anyone other than coleman
®
,
or an authorized service centre. follow the instructions carefully. service
under guarantee is provided free of charge (except for transportation
charges) but only upon presentation of evidence that the date of the
claim is within the guarantee period (i.e. invoice or purchase receipt).
service under the guarantee does not affect the expiry date of the
guarantee. this guarantee in no way affect the buyer’s statutory rights.
